We offer a wide range of non-competitive fine and performing arts activities in a fun, friendly traditional camp setting. We are located on a beautiful Pennsylvania mountaintop. Major activity areas include: theatre; rock, pop, country, classical & Broadway music; ballet, modern, jazz & tap dance; video & radio; two- & three-dimensional visual arts; photography & technical theater. We also offer horseback riding, swimming, and tennis. For 2008, we plan to include the movement styles of Capoeira, Freerunning/Parkour, and Tai Chi Chuan in our regular program offerings. Sessions range from 2 to 9 weeks in length. Ballibay was established in 1964, and is American Camping Association accredited.

I spent 6 summers at Ballibay and consider it a second home. Not only was it a great place for the arts, it was also gave me a tightly-knit community of friends. Even though I haven't been to Ballibay for almost 5 years now, I still keep in touch with many of the friends I made there. At Ballibay I worked with some top arts instructors and truly gained an appreciation and love for the arts. That arts education definitely paid off, as I am now a Freshman studying Opera at the Thornton School of Music at USC. Ballibay provides an ideal setting for those who are interested in the arts, but do not want an intensely competitive environment. Ballibay produces top shows by nurturing the campers and giving them the extra push they need to really shine. Every school year I looked forward to going back to Ballibay, participating in the dance, music, and theatre productions, and living the "balli-life."

Ballibay changed my life. I attended Ballibay for six summers over seven years. It truly is my second home. If you are a person who loves theatres and making new friends that last forever then this is the camp for you. It has everything in the performing and visual arts and as a camper you can do all of it or pick and choose certain things, there is no limit to what you can do. The camp has a theatre production every night run by the campers. Not only are campers actors but also costumers, lighting, sound, video, and audio. There are amazing dance classes and personal voice lessons. The art barn contains all types or art drawing, painting, pottery, photography, print making, knitting, bead making, jewelery making and if the art barn doesn't have it but you can think it up then they will find a way to get it. There are instrument lessons both classical and rock. If you like sports there is a great sports field with golf, soccer and volleyball, there is a pool and swimming lessons available, 2 tennis courts with basketball nets, and horse back riding! The cabins are great with decent showers and bathrooms and the food is surprisingly good (much better then normal camp food). But best of all the people are amazing! I have made friends there that will last me my entire life. This truly is an amazing camp with not only a beautiful setting but a beautiful message...anything is possible.
